The PTSD Institute recently developed CBT-X™. CBT-X™ is an abbreviation for “Expedited Cognitive Behavior Therapy for PTSD.” CBT-X™ is a comprehensive treatment protocol for PTSD and associated disorders. At the core of the CBT-X™ treatment program is an initial course of five weekly 1-hour therapy sessions. CBT-X™ does not require taking medication of any type to be effective.
PTSD is a mental health disorder for which the demand for services greatly exceeds the supply. CBT-X™ includes a variety of treatment approaches (i.e., “a portfolio of interventions” as recommended by Kazdin and Blase).
The first CBT-X treatment clinic opened in 2020 in Seattle, WA and is accepting patients regardless of their ability to pay.
