In forensic cases, QEEG is integrated with other testing (neuropsychological and neuroimaging) and presented to the court by Dr. Adler or other testifier of fact. It is best practice for two people to work on the QEEG, a qualified person (Ms. Emily Steen) to collect the EEG that another qualified person (Dr. Wes Center) will analyze to a report. The report consists of graphics, tabular data, and presentation of statistical data compared to a reference normative database that identifies overlaps in the subject’s symptoms and history with observed dysregulation in the brain’s electrical patterns. The data produced cannot be used diagnostically, but it may be used by competent medical authority such as Dr. Adler, to establish functional impairments and how those bear on behavior.
